Project Overview
Invictus Launch Week is an annual in-game event promoting the UEE Navy. After the success of last year's Invictus we set out to reimagine a new darker tech focused treatment. Inspired by the unreleased in-game "Mobiglass" planetary map we developed a UI language reflecting the massive scale of the planetary systems. The tone of the narrative this year was incorporating the darker looming threat of the alien Vanduul forces on the horizon.

I developed the storyboard, styleframes, and cartography inspired UI designs in illustrator. The UI designs were then composited into after effects using a 3D camera.

The central narrative and visual device focused on a digital futuristic war map allowing the sequence to move between missions giving a broader satellite view of the conflict and a window into the military strategy.
